If you haven't previously done any Motorbike lessons you will need to obtain your A2 LICENCE via Direct Access Training. Firstly, you will complete your Compulsory Basic Training (CBT), then undertake your Theory test, and two-part practical Mod1 & Mod2 test. After which you can ride a Motorcycle of 395cc minimum, restricted to 47bhp. You will be able to ride without L-Plates, carry a pillion and use the Motorways.
If you have already passed and obtained your A1 Licence. You can upgrade to the A2 LICENCE by completing the two-part practical test only (progressive route). You do not have to re-take your CBT or Theory Test. This enables you to ride a Motorcycle of 395cc minimum, restricted to 47bhp. You will be able to ride without L-Plates, carry a pillion and use the Motorways.
